Sometimes the hardest part of struggling is feeling like you have to carry it by yourself.

Maybe you’re overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or difficult emotions. You may be a college student trying to balance school, relationships, and the pressure to figure out what comes next. Or perhaps you’re a parent watching your teen struggle and wondering how to help when they don’t always have the words to explain what’s going on.

For men and teen boys especially, it can sometimes feel easier to keep things inside than to admit that something isn’t going well.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

I believe there is something powerful about having a place where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing and know that someone is truly listening. My goal is to create a welcoming, compassionate space where you can feel understood, make sense of what you’re going through, and begin taking meaningful steps forward.

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected and identify patterns that may be keeping them feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck. I also consider the bigger story—your relationships, family experiences, culture, and faith—because these experiences help shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us.

My role isn’t to tell you how to live your life or hand you all the answers. Instead, I’ll walk alongside you as you recognize your strengths, develop healthier ways of navigating challenges, and move toward greater clarity, confidence, and hope.

If your Catholic or Christian faith is important to you, we can intentionally incorporate it into our work together. I also provide therapy in both English and Spanish.

My desire to become a therapist is connected to my own story. I was born in Colombia and raised in the United States, where I watched my parents navigate challenges and build a life for our family. Their example taught me the importance of resilience, faith, and perseverance.

Growing up, there were also times when I kept my own thoughts and emotions to myself. Through God’s grace, caring mentors, and meaningful relationships, I came to understand the difference it can make to simply feel heard. That experience continues to shape the kind of therapist I strive to be today.

I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern and completed my studies at Florida State University. My approach draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a systems-based perspective.

Outside of the therapy room, I love spending time with my wife and our two children. You can often find me watching or playing soccer, learning a new game, spending time with my kids, or heading to the movie theater with my wife.

My faith and family are central to my life, and I value the simple things that keep us connected—making time for the people we love, finding joy together, and staying curious about the world around us.
