Areas of focus
Hi, I’m Kelley – a graduate student clinical mental health intern at the University of Central Florida.
Maybe you’re tired of having the same conversation with your child and getting nowhere. You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, and tried to stay patient, but you still find yourself wondering, What am I missing?
Maybe you and your spouse love each other, but somewhere along the way, you stopped feeling like you were on the same team. The same arguments keep coming up, and you both walk away feeling frustrated, hurt, or unheard.
Or maybe it’s you. You’re the one everyone depends on, and lately you’re realizing just how tired you are. Between parenting, marriage, work, health, and the everyday demands of life, there doesn’t seem to be much room left for you.
I understand how easy it can be to lose yourself while caring for everyone else.
Experience:
For 16 years, I worked as a Physician Assistant, caring for people through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Over time, I became increasingly interested in the connection between our physical health, emotional well-being, and relationships. I wanted to help people not only care for their bodies, but also better understand what they were experiencing and find healthier ways forward.
That realization led me to begin a new chapter. In January 2025, I started pursuing my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Central Florida. While it was a big career change, it felt like a natural extension of what I had always loved—walking alongside people and helping them navigate difficult seasons.
Client Focus
As a wife and mother of three young children, I also know that balancing marriage, parenting, faith, work, and everything else life brings can be challenging. That’s one of the reasons I’m especially passionate about working with children, adolescents, couples, and families.
I believe counseling should be a place where you can finally exhale. You don’t have to have all the answers or know exactly what needs to change before you begin. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, build on the strengths you already have, and develop practical tools to help you move forward.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, drawing from cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, emotionally focused, play therapy, mindfulness, expressive arts, and family systems approaches. I’ve also completed Level 1 training in the Gottman Method for couples.
Whether you’re a parent who feels like you’ve tried everything, a couple who wants to reconnect, a child or teen struggling with emotions or behavior, or an individual navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, chronic illness, or a difficult transition, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
My Christian faith is an important part of who I am. I serve in my church’s children’s ministry and co-lead a community group, and I’m grateful for the ways my faith has shaped how I care for and serve others.
More Than Just My Work
Outside of the office, Kelley enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to new places, and growing in her Christian faith. She also enjoys various forms of exercise and has participated in several endurance events to keep herself challenged and healthy. As a fun fact, Kelley’s favorite pet growing up was a Lizard.
